CHANGES IN THE NATIONAL LEADERSHIP STRUCTURE OF THE UNION.
After extensive consultations within the union, the National Office Bearers took a decision not to replace the former President of the Union (Justice Thintitha Mthethwa), who is no longer an employee but in line with the Constitution requested the 1st Deputy President Cde Vusumuzi Dladla to perform all duties of the President until the next National General Council which shall appoint the Acting President of the union.
The National Office Bearers extend its gratitude for itself and for the union for the contribution made by the former president of the union. History shall judge us all, and we hope that history will judge the comrade as someone who positively contributed to the development of workers in Swaziland.
Unity, remain our cornerstone as an organization and we encourage our members to continue standing by their union even when coopted individuals desperately try to divide the workers. To those who have been paid to destabilize the union we say shame; shame to them. We are confident that our members will see through those who wish to undo the gains of unity.
We therefore wish to inform our allied organizations, employers, and our mother body, TUCOSWA, that the former president shall be removed from all communication platforms which he occupied as the president of ATUSWA and replace him with Cde Vusumuzi Dladla.
Signed
Wander Mkhonza
Secretary General (for and on behalf of the NOBs)
